Winsome Resources appoints Canadian General Manager
December 13, 2021
Highlights:
Perth-based lithium exploration and development company Winsome Resources (ASX:WR1; “Winsome” or “the Company”) has appointed highly regarded international specialist SGS Geological Services (SGS) to commence data review, exploration work and metallurgical test work for the Company’s projects in Quebec, Canada.
Experienced in all facets of lithium exploration and resource development in Canada, SGS will follow Winsome Resources’ data planning phase by assisting in the organisation and management of subsequent field exploration work and drilling campaigns.
Test work at the Company’s Cancet site will build on knowledge gained in previous metallurgical test work and will involve heavy liquid separation (HLS), magnetic separation and flotation batch tests.
SGS will also carry out the first metallurgical test work on drill samples from Adina, using HLS and magnetic separation to determine likely achievable recoveries from ore through dense media separation (DMS).
This test work will assist Winsome to understand the mineralogy of both the ore and host rock at each site, which is vitally important to develop the ore bodies in the most efficient manner.
Managing Director Chris Evans said “Partnering with a renowned specialist such as SGS was vital to help the Company progress to the next stages in its development plans. SGS has experience on most Canadian hard rock lithium projects and Winsome has a great deal of confidence the group can help us move through the next phases with a high degree of precision and efficiency.”
The company continues to assess appropriate consultants for appointment to review data and plan exploration work for the Adina and Sirmac-Clappier projects.
