Foster Stockbroking Report – Hidden lithium jewel in Quebec
August 29, 2023From the Managing Director's desk
Dear Shareholders and Stakeholders,
Following the recent devastating wildfires in Quebec, we are back on site at Adina and I am pleased and relieved to report we did not incur significant damage to our properties in the James Bay Region.
Our thoughts are with those who have suffered damage or loss, and I would like to thank emergency services in these communities who worked tirelessly to keep people and assets safe.
Thanks to our contractor RJLL, we have hit the ground running again at Adina this month as our drilling operations re-commenced, concentrating on higher grade zones at both Adina Main and the Footwall Zone.
We want to make sure these zones are well defined ahead of resource modelling, scheduled for the later part of this year, which will inform our maiden Mineral Resource at Adina.
This current drilling campaign follows encouraging assay results from the east and west of Adina Main released at the start of this month, which confirm the continuity of substantial, high grade lithium mineralisation.
These strong results have enabled Adina Main’s strike extent to grow from 700m to 1,000m, reinforcing potential to publish a globally significant resource that could feed directly into the North American lithium market.
Once we have all five rigs on site in September, the plan is to concentrate the majority of the drill rigs on resource development drilling of the Main and Footwall Zones, while turning one rig to testing new target areas to identify new zones of mineralisation at Adina. Work on our Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) is also ongoing with Metallurgical, Environmental, Mining and Infrastructure studies having commenced.
Our recent activity at Adina and continued exploration at Cancet is further detailed in our latest quarterly report which can be found here.
There has been encouraging news for shareholders lately, with Euroz Hartleys and Canaccord Genuity publishing research reports on Winsome, both recommending a speculative buy based on the potential for a globally significant maiden resource being published in the short term.
Both sets of research have since been updated to reflect the substantial increase in the potential size of the Adina resource following recent drilling results.
Winsome has also received significant media coverage in the past month, adding to the growing anticipation around our projects and the greater James Bay Region.
This sentiment is being shared more widely, with recent roadshows in London, Sydney and Melbourne returning positive feedback on Winsome’s progression.
The message is getting out that we will have a world class Maiden Resource published in the coming months and I anticipate interest in Winsome’s activities in Quebec will only continue to gain momentum.
I look forward to keeping you up to date as we edge closer to the end of 2023.
